Kenneth Keith Forbes, a Canadian artist, was the son of John Forbes, also an artist.
Captain Forbes had been in military service well before this attestation was completed. According to the attached article, he had been in London at the time the war broke out and joined the Imperial army as a Private. He had been wounded two times. He served with the 10th Battalion, Royal Fusiliers.
In 1917 Forbes received a commission by Lord Beaverbrook (Max Aitken) to paint a series of official war pictures of the front.
