On the morning of August 6th, 1918, his Battalion moved forward of Villers Bretonneux to occupy new positions. While passing one of our ammunition dumps, an enemy shell hit the dump causing a big explosion and killing Private Scott and eighteen others. (FROM: CEF Circumstances of Casualty)
