Attested in the Artillery Reserve Brigade September 26, 1914 (Service No. 41081), discharged February 7, 1916 Medically Unfit. It appears from Commonwealth War Graves Commission records that at some time, this soldier may have accepted a Commission as a Cadet in the RFC (Service No. 174197), however, no corroborating evidence could be found in the London Gazette nor in his digitized service file

Died at Base Hospital, Toronto of influenza complicated by pneumonia
