Son of Eugene and Nina Bean, of North Hatley, P.Q., Canada; husband of Ethel Bean (Nee Smith), of 808, East 14th St., Chester, Pennsylvania, U.S.A. Also commemorated on the North Hatley, Quebec, Memorial as Adelbert Bean. Served with the 26th Dragoons, Canadian Militia.
His death is mentioned in the War Diary report of "A" Company, Canadian Corps Cyclists for November 9, 1918:
"Sgt Quinn and three others left at 14.30 hours and proceeded along the canal in p.9, p.10 & p.11. they located enemy M.G.'s at p.12.a.23-p.12.a.32-p.12.c.& p.6. Two men were killed and one wounded on this patrol."
