Son of E. A. Robertson, M.D., and Edna F. Robertson (nee Johnston), of 4144 Dorchester St. West, Westmount, Quebec. Also commemorated on the Sherbrooke, Quebec, Memorial. Served with 5th Division Corps Guides.

His Circumstances of Death card indicates: ""Killed in Action" While in charge of a guard at the south west end of MAPLE COPSE he was killed by an enemy shell." The reverse side says his body was left at a point (on map) sheet 28.I.23.b.9.2.

Was a student of Bishop's University and is remembered on their website, "BU remembers".
