During the period 14/8/17 to 18/8/17 on Hill 70 this soldier made repeated trips under very heavy shell fire keeping his telephone lines repaired. The work became so heavy that although double the establishment of linesmen were used, this soldier was almost continuously on duty for 60 hours.
