Served with the 35th Central Alberta Regiment, Canadian Militia. The Red Deer Advocate, February 21, 1919 edition, wrote in their Local Happenings section that he was married at Falkirk, Scotland, the previous week, to Miss Agnes Orr of that town and expected to be back in Red Deer the following month.
His brother, Lance Sergeant William Maben, 466951, 49th Battalion, Military Medal, died October 1st, 1918.

The following casualties have been reported since our last issue in this district:
Pte. Geo. Maben, wounded.
Pte. Maben is reported wounded in the left arm.
