Information as taken from the War diaries - Progress Charts, Transports: NEURALIA November 2, 1918. It appears that Sapper Jacob McWatch died 8 months after the date shown on Commonwealth Graves (and Canadian Virtual War Memorial). The War Diary from H.M.A.T. Neuralia at Sea and enroute from Liverpool to Halifax has two specific entries about Sapper McWatch, as follows: Nov. 2 - "No. 648625, Spr. McWatch, J. died at 20.00 from Tuberculosis and a violent Haemorrhage."; Nov. 3 - "No. 648625 Spr McWatch J. buried at 08.00 with full Naval Honors. Captain Shore officiated, being the only Chaplain on board."
