Death Notice - Toronto Star October 16, 1918

Private W S Masson Killed

The news has been cabled to Mrs Jessie Masson, 112 St Vincent Street, informing her that her son Pte William Stanley Masson has been killed in action. He enlisted with the 19th Battalion and while in England was operated on for appendicitis. During his career in France he figured in most of the big engagements and during the Somme fighting was transferred to the artillery. He was 28 years old and before he enlisted worked in the Game and Fisheries Office at the Parliament Buildings. He is survived by his mother, three brothers and three sisters, the youngest Louise, is now nursing in France.
