Uploader's Notes:

Son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Flanagan, of Kingston, Ontario. Had served with the 14th Regiment, Canadian militia for four years.

Flannigan was employed at the Locomotive Works in Kingston, was Manager of the Wellington Hockey Team. Was a friend of Ching Allan a noted sportsman from Kingston On. He enlisted with the 18th Btn in London Ontario 6th April 1915. He was TOS with the 21st Btn 1 Aug 1915. Mc Bride in his book "A Rifleman went to War" describes his death. Also there were a number of stories about him in the Daily British Whig and Kingston Daily Standard including a letter from LCol Hughes to his wife.
