RESEARCH INFORMATION

Uploader's Notes:

An article and photo of Miss Sutherland appeared in the Toronto Star in January 1918 (see attached). Miss Sutherland was formerly a Kindergarten teacher at the Manning avenue School in Toronto. At the time of this report she was in Paris as a V.A.D. worker. She had opened up with six other Canadian women the first Canadian Y.M.C.A. hut in Paris. Miss Sutherland had previously served as a V.A.D. nurse in England for some months.

Miss Sutherland had a brother serving in the R.F.C., and a sister working with the American Y.M.C.A. in France.
