RESEARCH INFORMATION
Uploader's Notes:
A letter from Miss Amy Neale appeared in the Toronto Sunday World, and was reproduced with editorial notes in the Crag & Canyon (Banff, Alberta) on 13 February 1915. Original article.
The name does not appear in the Canadian attestations. She is described in the report as a Canadian nurse serving with the Red Cross. She may have enlisted in England. It is also possible she worked as a V.A.D. with the Red Cross.
Her brother was Lieut. John Beaumont Neale, of the 10th Royal Grenadiers of Toronto (Militia). Lieut. Neale (later Captain) enlisted at Valcartier Camp in September 1914.
