Uploader's Notes: Son of Samuel and Mary Hall, of Cropwell Bishop, Nottingham, England. CEF Burial Registers - Killed in Action - While taking part with his Company in the Scarpe operation on the morning of September 2nd, 1918 and on reaching the top of Mont Dury after passing through the Drocourt-Queant Line, he was instantly killed by the intense machine gun fire of the enemy.
