This Memorial was printed in the September 21st, 1917 edition of the Red Deer Advocate:
"In loving memory of our dear and only son and brother, Pte. William Rodgers, No. 883,315, 50th Canadian Infantry Battalion, B.E.F., France, who was killed in action, August 25th, 1917.
What though in lonely grief I sigh,
For friends beloved, no longer nigh,
Submissive would I still reply,
Thy will be done."
