Edwyn Harry Lukin Johnston was a Canadian journalist, who managed to get an interview with Adolph Hitler in November 1933. He was the first Canadian journalist to achieve this. A few days later, on November 18, 1933, he was reported lost at sea between Hoek van Holland and Harwich, England. His death remains a mystery and is still the subject of some debate. Some speculate that he was thrown or pushed overboard during the crossing.
