Uploader's Notes: Son of the late Ellisley Robert Lowe and Susan Pemment, of Nottingham, England. who were married in the Spring of 1883. In 1891 Susan and Ellisley R Lowe were living in St Mary's All Saints, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England with their 4 children. In 1901 Susan Lowe was a Widow and her 2 girls were gone and Susan was at home with 12 year old Edward and 6 year old Cyril. On 21 July 1904 an 8 year old Cyril Lowe leaves Liverpool on the ship Southwark with a party of Barnardo Children who arrive in Quebec City on 31 July 1904 bound for Toronto. On 15 April 1916 a 23 year Cyril Lowe joins the 142nd Battalion at London Ontario and sails for England in November . On 30 Nov 1916 Private Cyril Lowe is transferred to the 14th Battalion (Quebec Regiment). On 9 April 1917 former Barnardo Child Private Cyril Lowe is Killed in Action during an attack on Vimy Ridge.
