Transferred to MD 3, Special Service Company at Barriefield Camp.
On August 08 he was promoted to Corporal, and to Sergeant on September 08. On September 09 he went Absent Without Leave for seven days. His Pay Card stated that he voluntarily reverted to Private on September 26. The following day the Barriefield Camp Medical Board found that he was permanently disabled by a hockey injury suffered in 1912. The Board recommended a medical discharge.
