Uploader's Notes: William Lawrence Chambers was born in Ormstown, and was the son of William Chambers who had moved west to Winnipeg. He was killed in action just after the assualt on Vimy Ridge (9-12 April, 1917). His brother, Earl, also served in France with the 44th Battalion during the war and was killed in action on 22 September, 1918.
