[Private Army Canadian Infantry 241st Battalion C Company Sailed with 241st Battalion aboard SS Olympic from Halifax to Liverpool, April 29 to May 07, 1917. Private Army Canadian Infantry 5th Reserve Battalion Private Army Canadian Infantry 15th Battalion C Company

Proceeded to France on being posted. Attached to Canadian Corps Reinforcement Camp on arrival. Joined the 15th Battalion at Avion on October 11, 1917. From January 30 to February 16, and again from February 24 to March 13, 1918 was attached to the 3rd Australian Tunneling Company.

While in the trenches near Parvillers was killed instantly when hit by a high explosive artillery shell.
