Son of George and Helen Morrison, of Springburn Cottage, Kintore Scotland. Native of Clovenstone, Kintore. Kintore Higher Grade Public School: Roll of Honour. City Roll of Honour: Canadian Cameron Highlander. 1901 Census 213/3/92 aged 8. As both Moir and Morrison were from the same home town in Scotland and their service numbers are close, they likely knew each other well before enlisting. They were casualties in the same attack north of Courcelette.

This man was wounded and taken Prisoner of War when the battalion were making an assault on Regina trench and died two days later.
