Attested June 24, 1915 in the 61st Battalion (Service No. 460837). According to the digitized service file, he was issued a new Service No. 229260 at some time after mobilizing to England, but the date of this change is not documented, and there is no explanation for the change. Both numbers are used on various documents throughout the file.
According to C.W.G.C. and V.A.C. this mans real name was T. W. Palmer, but he enlisted and served as John Reid.
