Uploader's Notes: Born 3 February 1898 in Glasgow, Scotland. He was the brother of Catharine Clinton. He served in the Boys Brigade in Scotland. He enlisted in Merrickville, Ontario on 18 March 1916. He stated he was single and employed as a farmer. It is quite possible that he left Glasgow, Sclotalnd on 22 March 1913, at the age of 15, as a Dr. Barnardo 'Home Boy' arriving in Halifax, Nova Scotia on 31 March 1913 destined for Brockville, Ontario.
