Admitted to 2nd Western General Hospital, Manchester on December 07, 1917. Reported "Dangerously Ill" on January 12, 1918. Died of wounds and 2nd Western on January 27, 1918. Company Quartermaster Sergeant Army Canadian Infantry 45th Battalion

Mobilized with the 18th CMR militia detachment at Portage La Prairie on January 21, 1915.

Promoted to CQMS, February 22, 1915

45th Battalion sailed March 17-25, 1916 from Halifax to Liverpool. Posted to St Martin's Plain on arrival.

Private Army Canadian Infantry 27th Battalion

Voluntarily reduced to Private on being posted. Proceeded to France on September 02-03 and attached to the CBD, Havre. Attached to CCRC from September 17 to November 14, 1916.

Joined 27th Battalion at the Lorette Spur on November 15, 1916.

Severely wounded while on a night working party in front of Neuville St Vaast on November 25, 1917. Evacuated to 42nd CCS, then to 26th General Hospital, Etaples. Invalided to England on December 06, 1917 aboard HS Princess Elizabeth
