Uploader's Notes: Prior military service with 104th Regiment, Westminster Fusiliers of Canada. Son of Alexander Aitchison, of Burnmouth, Berwickshire, Scotland; husband of Mrs. George Simpson (formerly Aitchison), of Irvine's Landing, Pender Harbour, British Columbia. He married Bessie Black at New Westminster, British Columbia on July 23, 1915. She married George Simpson at New Westminster December 1, 1919.

"Died of Wounds" - was taking part with his Battalion in the attack on the Drocourt-Queant Line on September 2nd 1918 when he was severely wounded by enemy fire. He was immediately attended to and evacuated, but succumbed to his wounds at No. 3 Stationary Hospital, Rouen, on the 17th September 1918.
