Son of Andrew Richard and Ellen Dyson, of 11, Alexander Avenue, Handsworth, Birmingham, England.

183 Private Richard J. Dyson, 19th Regiment. His parents were Andrew and Ellen Dyson of Birmingham, England. He had drowned in the Niagara River on 9 August 1916 and his body was found on the American side of the river. He was 30 years old and had seen service in the Sherwood Foresters, British Army, in China and India. He was buried in the Drummond Hill Cemetery, Niagara Falls. There was no military funeral.
