144/am Private Leonard Bellamy, 44th Regiment, the son of Thomas and Mary
Bellamy of Stockport, England, and husband of Beatrice of Niagara Falls. He was
drowned on 24 July 1915. There was some suspicion that he had been murdered. He
was 28 years old and is buried in Fairview Cemetery, Niagara Falls, Ontario.
