Uploader's Notes: War Diary of the 3rd Field Ambulance for June 13, 1916 states: At 9 a.m. Ambulance D1 was struck by a shell at BEDFORD HOUSE, killing two patients, wounding others, and the two drivers, Ptes. T. Finnigan and C. Maloney, the former dying from his wounds the following day. Appendix A of the same War Diary further states that the Ambulance car was struck by the shell at BEDORD HOUSE 'whilst loading patients', and that the one driver 'subsequently died at the Clearing Station'.
