Son of Jean W. Armstrong, of 344, Stewart St., Ottawa, Ontario, and the late Rev. W. D. Armstrong, M.A., Ph.D., D.D.

Burial Register Details:

This officer was in charge of the Engineer party for consolidation of the first objective, in the attack on Vimy Ridge.

He was killed by a machine gun bullet in the abdomen which entered the right side. This occurred about 400 yards in advance of our old front line and within 300 yards of the objective.
