Uploader's Notes:
Son of the late Albert and Eliza Pardon. Native of London, England.
Herbert Hill White's WWI War diary notes for Nov 15th (actually the 16th:)
"Nov. 15 - While No. 4 platoon was waiting in the cars to start for camp Fritz sent a shell over and killed two of the boys and wounded a number of others."
It would appear that Bert assumed the two deaths were related to the shelling.
Uploader's Research notes: Details of death from Ancestry.com which includes a digitized image of the casualty form from the "Canada, War Graves Registers (Circumstances of Casualty), 1914-1948" database [Sapper Army Canadian Railway Troops 6th Battalion, Canadian Railway Troops ]
