[Lieutenant Colonel Army Canadian Infantry 75th Battalion Commanding Officer

Sailed with 75th Battalion aboard SS Empress of Britain from Halifax to Liverpool, March 29 to April 09, 1916. The battalion was posted to Bramshott Camp on arrival.

75th Battalion proceeded to France aboard SS Mona's Queen from Southampton to Havre, August 11/12, 1916.

Killed in action while trying to rally his troops during the disastrous trench raid of March 01, 1917 near Carency.
