Sailed with 101st Battalion aboard SS Olympic from Halifax to Liverpool, June 28 to July 06, 1916. Posted to East Sandling Camp, Shorncliffe, on arrival. Lieutenant Army Canadian Engineers Canadian Engineer Training Depot Signal Company Appointed Signals Officer with CETD. Lieutenant Army Canadian Infantry 17th Reserve Battalion Lieutenant Army Canadian Engineers 3rd Divisional Signals Company Posted on August 07, 1917 and proceeded to France. Reported to his new unit in the field on August 12, (War Diary reference). Killed in action by an aerial bomb near Castre, Belgium on October 21, 1917, (War Diary reference). ]
