Ivan Fisher, who was reported dangerously wounded last week, succumbed to his injuries, according to word received by his relatives on Saturday. He was wounded on August 16 and died the same day. He was the eldest son of Mr. Fred Fisher, who formerly resided at Poplar Ridge and Red Deer, and who has been serving in the Red Cross in England for the past two years. Ivan, since the death of his mother, made his home with his grandmother and aunts, Mrs. A. F. Neilson and Mrs. E. G. Boddy. Ivan attended the Red Deer schools and then entered the service of the Bank of Commerce, at Granum. He enlisted at Monitor with the 51st Battalion, and had been in the trenches since June, 1916. He was 22 years of age.

ROLL OF HONOUR
Word was received recently of the particulars of the death in action of Lieut. Ivan M. Fisher, the adopted son of Mr. and Mrs. F. Fisher. He was mortally wounded on August 16th, 1917, in the battle of Hill 70, in front of Loos, where he crossed the enemy barrage eight times carrying messages, for which he was commended for the D.C.M. He died August 16, and was buried Aug. 17, in the little village of Voeux les Mines, just back of Loos. He had been in the trenches over fourteen months without leave.
