Circumstances of Death Register:
"Died of Wounds.
He had not joined the 19th Battalion, but was one of a working paarty sent from the 2nd Entrenching Bn. to Maroc, where he was wounded in the chest and abdomen by shrapnel. He was taken to No.2 Canadian Field Ambulance, where he succumbed to his wounds later in the day."
