WOUNDED IN THE FOOT.
Pte. John D. Phillips, who came from Seattle, Washington, to enlist with a Highland unit, is now in Wimereux Hospital suffering from a contusion in the foot, according to a telegram received by his mother, who resides at 144 Gamble ave., Todmorden. A brother, Pte. Charles Phillips, was wounded in the Somme and has lately returned to Toronto.
