Only son of Wellington J. and Elizabeth Sketchley Dowler. Born at Victoria, British Columbia. Graduate (B.A. Degree) of McGill University, Montreal. One year service with McGill Regiment.

CEF Burial Registers - Died of Wounds - during an action at Vimy Ridge on April 10th, 1917, he was wounded in the jaw and arms by enemy shell fire, and after being attended to at a dressing station, he was taken to No. 6 Casualty Clearing Station, where he succumbed to his wounds the following day.
