Uploader's Notes:
Son of Jas. T. and the late Martha Morrison, of Carman, Manitoba. Parents moved from Ireland to Canada in 1880, homesteaded, and father is still living on the same farm.
The battalion war diary states that the battalion were carrying out actions against the village of La Coulotte and it seems from the war diary that when they were relieved they had suffered 27 dead, 138 wounded and 75 missing other ranks as the casualties. This was to the west of Lens.
Uploader's Research notes: Info from the attestation papers, war diary and this man is also on the CWGC site. [Private Army Canadian Infantry 222nd Battalion Lance Corporal Army Canadian Infantry 44th Battalion ]
