Another familiar figure in this district, an amateur ball player of some note was Lieut. Percy Johnson, formerly of the Standard Bank at Penhold, who is reported Killed in Action. His mother lived in Woodstock, Ont. Percy was wounded at Easter time but went back again to the firing line recently.
