Uploader's Notes: Hedley was the son of George Hilary Allez & Elizabeth Heaume of Forest, Guernsey. He immigrated to Canada about 1912-1914, and stayed in Brownsville, Oxford Co, Ontario for a short time with his Aunt Emma & Uncle Thomas Nant. He ended up coming to Grimsby, Lincoln Co, and married my Great Grandmother Gertrude Irene Lawson on November 25, 1915, in St. Catharines, Lincoln Co. Hedley left to go to war in the summer of 1916, his wife was pregnant with his son (John H. Allez), sadly who he never met. Hedley was unharmed in the war until August 18, 1918, when he was shot int he left arm and leg. They amputated his leg and later his arm and he died during surgery.
