Uploader's Notes: A letter from Captain John Thomas Duguid, 15th Battalion, appeared in the Toronto Star on July 5th, 1915. This letter included information about Sgt. Robert Gilpin. Duguid was describing the events of the 2nd battle of Ypres and the fate of men originally from Collingwood. He wrote - "Sergt. Gilpin of No. 3 Company has come through without a scratch and is a very valuable man."
