Uploader's Notes: Private William Charles Kyle was born in 1890, the son of Joseph Alexander Kyle of Hallerton, Quebec (5.5 km northeast of Hemmingford at the junction of the Kenney Sideroad and Quest Road). On 27 September his unit attacked the Regina Trench in the Courcelette part of the Somme. The fighting continued through the 27th when Private Kyle was killed. His name is inscribed on the Vimy Memorial with the other 11,285 Canadians who died in the First War, and have no known grave.
