Daughter of Gervas Fountayne Wake and Amy Rosamond Wake, of Compton Hill, Malvern, Worcestershire. Born at Esquimault, British Columbia.

Died of wounds sustained when German airships bombed the 1st Canadian General Hospital at Etaples 19 May 1918. She died of burns during the two hour raid. 66 patients and staff (including two other nurses) died as a result of this raid.
