Son of R. H. and S. A. Ribton, of 32, St. Lawrence Rd., Clontarf, Dublin, Ireland. Enlisted 27th Oct., 1914, at London, Ontario. Landed in France, Sept., 1915

Wound may have been sustained the same day per the 18th Battalion War Diary: Training during the morning. Postponed Church Parade held. About midday (12.40 pm) shell dropped by long range gun struck one of the huts in which H.Q. details and portion of D coy where billeted. 5 ors Killled. 4 ors died of wounds. 35 wounded.
