As Platoon Sergeant, he served in the front lines in Lens, near Arleux, Mericoux and Bailleul, and took part in patrols and raids on the enemy line and served in the operations in the front of Amiens 8 to 20 August. He has consistently shown marked courage and able leadership and always can be depended upon.

Theodore is my uncle. I have additional information that will fill in some blanks in your record.He enlisted.He served for a few months with the 66th Bn Princes Louise Fusiliers before enlisting for overseas.He enlisted in Halifax, N. S. on August 18th 1915 and was sworn in in Valcartier, Que in the 40th Bn.His address was 197 1/2 Gottingen St Halifax N. S. He was a teamster before enlisting.He was 18 years old and single.He was born in Sheet Harbour N. S. on July 28th 1897.His mothers name was Margaret "Maggie" MacDonald. His father was deceased.His religion was The Church of England.His ethnic origin is Scottish.On enlistment he was 5 feet 7 1/2 inches tall.His chest measurement was 38 inches and his expansion was 3 inches.He embarked for training with the 60th Bn CEF in England on Oct 15th 1915.He embarked for active service with CEF in France on Mar 16 1916.He was wounded in the neck Jun 15 1916.He was discharged from the hospital and returned to active service Jun 21 1916.He was promoted to L/Cpl on Oct 15 1916.He was promoted to Cpl on Dec 2 1916.He was transferred to the 87th Bn on May 15 1917.He was promoted to L/Sgt on Oct 17 1917.He was promoted to Sgt on Apr 2nd 1918.He was killed instantly on Sep 30 1918 from a wound to his head in the Battle of Cambrai.
