Uploader's Notes: Son of May Moore and the adopted son of Hugh Canniff Ketcheson and Adeliza Empey Ketcheson, of Madoc, Ontario. Killed in Action with the 102Battalion of the Central Ontario Regiment
Uploader's Research notes: Pte Ross Ketcheson arrived in England with the 80th Battalion on 30 May 1916 and was transferred to the 102nd Bn on 18 July 1916 ( to be part of the 11th Brigade of the 4th Cdn Division). On 26 October 1916 while fighting in the Regina trench he suffered from Shell Shock and went to hospital and returned to Duty with the 102Bn on 9 December 1916.On 27 Jan 1917 Pte Ketcheson was back in Hospital with a shrapnel wound to his left thigh. After 6 days he was back on Duty with the 102BN.On 2 September 1918 Pte Rossi Ketcheson who was the 102BN Runner was found dead by the side of the trail. the main artery in his leg was severed by shell fire.This was during the battle for the German Defensive position known as the Drocourt Queant Line. Pte Stanley Ross Richardson was buried in the Sun Quarry Cemetery in the Pas de Calaise. [Private Army Canadian Infantry 102nd Battalion ]
