Son of John Thomas Collin and Matilda Collin (nee Brett); husband of Mary Collin

Collin attested September 12, 1915 at Niagara Camp but he had been on strength on July 19, 1915. He was issued Service No. 163502, which was later changed to 164682. But despite the details on the Attestation papers, when he was finally taken on strength of the 84th Battalion from the 109th Regiment, on July 20, 1915 it was as a Lieutenant, and he was promoted to Captain August 6, 1915
