Original overseas unit 240th Canadian Infantry Battalion. Joined the P.P.C.L.I. in the field March 4, 1918. Wounded August 12, 1918. Killed near Tilloy.

"During military operations with his battalion in the vicinity of Sailly, on september 28, 1918, he was hit by an enemy machine gun bullet in the hip, and was killed while proceeding to the rear" circumstance of death register
