Uploader's Research notes: War Diary for 1st Tramway Coy, Canadian Engineers mentions on June 29, 1918 that they had "... an epidemic of influenza in this company. In one week we had 33 admitted to Hospital.". This may account for his death or he may have been wounded in the shelling of a working party train that ocurred June 6.
