Uploader's Notes:
This soldier appears on a Ukrainian Canadian World War One Roll of Honour entitled "List of Ukrainian Canadian Fatal Casualties 1915-1921". Source: Ukrainian Canadians in Canada's Wars by Prof. V. J. Kaye, C.M., Ph.D., Toronto, Ukrainian Canadian Research Foundation, 1983. Ed. by John B. Gregorovich. The ROH is on pages 116-125.
Prof. Kaye consulted a number of sources during his research, and the town of Owen Sound, Ontario, was mentioned in connection to Pte. Mack. This means that Pte. Mack may have lived and/or worked in Owen Sound, and left from there to enlist at Valcartier Camp in Quebec with the 1st Canadian Contingent.
