Uploader's Research notes: Winfred(Fred) Alexander Glover the son of Alexander and Cynthia Glover was a 24 year old teacher from Eldorado ( not far from Queensborough) Ontario when he enlisted into the 155 Battalion at Madoc Ontario on 28 Dec 1915. By 28 Oct 1916 after training in Canada the 155BN arrived in England.On 5 Dec 1916 Pte Fred Glover was transfered to the 21st Battalion Of the Eastern Ontario Regiment. On 9 May 1917 Fred Glover was promoted to Cpl and on 6 April 1918 Fred Glover was promoted to Sgt. Fred Glover was fighting at Vimy Ridge, Passchendale, Hill 70, Amiens, and Arras. Sgt Winfred Alexander Glover was Killed in Action during the battle for Arras on 26 August 1918. [Sergeant Army Canadian Infantry 21st Battalion ]
