2079 - Welland Canal Force, 19th Lincoln Regiment December 10, 1914 - April 16, 1915

Two pages of the 1st Battalion War Diaries describe a failed German attack that commenced early in the day on April 5th, and involved around 100 German soldiers who advanced against the Canadians. It appears that Pte. Noble was killed during this attack. The 1st Battalion casualties for this incident were: 1 officer wounded, 7 other ranks killed.
